More Space - Nine Antidotes to Complacency in Business will be released on 25 October. I'm one of nine bloggers who've written chapters for this new book. More Space is being offered in multiple formats. You can buy the book here for $24.95. If you'd prefer a free pdf, or html, or audio, head on over to the More Space website.
The back cover blurb says, "Each author challenges the premise that places of business can only be cold and uninspiring. By sharing their own experiences they offer up ways for you to re-ignite passion and enthusiasm in your work."
We have been working on this project for several months and I'm tremendously excited about the results. My chapter
is called "Work is Broken". In it, I talk about the ways technology has changed how business is done and how
individuals and organizations have not yet properly adapted to the challenges these changes have wrought. E-mail is
broken. Meetings are broken. PowerPoint presentations are broken.
I provide some techniques and tools to fix what's been broken. These ideas are based on successes we have enjoyed at
my company over the past four-and-a-half years and from leading thinkers in the productivity space like David Allen,
Bill Jensen, and Tony Buzan.
The contributors to More Space are a terrificly talented group of passionate and talented writers. I hope you enjoy
what we've put together. Here are the authors who joined me in creating More Space:
-
Jory Des Jardins from Pause
-
Lisa Haneberg from Management Craft
-
Rob May from Businesspundit
-
Johnnie Moore from johnniemoore.com
-
Robert Paterson from PEI's Future
-
Evelyn Rodriguez from Crossroad Dispatches
-
Curt Rosengren from Occupational Adventure
-
Jeremy Wright from Ensight.org
More Space would not have happened without the vision and leadership of Todd Sattersten.

1. Marc, Bravo on your chapter I read it today. Thank you for your great insight on meetings, and presentations. Luckily I have already learned about GTD from you and others. Although I must admit reading this chapter today motivated me to get my Inbox and my Read Review back to empty.
I am looking forward to your book as I find your writing style clear concise and easy to follow. On top of that you provide great insight into how others work.
I am also looking forward reading the other contributions in the More Spaces project for additional knowledge.
Sincerely,
Johann
