Our newest blog: DownloadSquad

Jason calls it the "Engadget or Autoblog of software". DownloadSquad is for anyone who can not get enough software and wants to know about every cool new application as soon as it's available. I'll be joining a number of my fellow WIN bloggers in covering as much new stuff as possible.

This is the largest blog Weblogs, Inc. has done to date in terms of number of bloggers working on it (11 right now, and we will probably top out at 15). We're looking for a couple of more bloggers to join in the fun, so if you're interested email judith AT weblogsinc DOT com and cc Jason at jason AT weblogsinc DOT com.

You can filter the results by platform if you like, and you can subscribe to specific feeds by platform or category. Here are the RSS feeds by platform and category:

2. Kunal - thanks as always for the comment. I'm quite excited about DLSQ (my acronym for the new blog - it's easier to write on the Tablet PC). I think it has enormous potential to join Engadget, Autoblog and TUAW as one of the "big dogs" on the network.

3. You know, I subscribed when you announced it, but sadly the site has way to much news. For example, why do I need to know about "Go returns to sue Microsoft for "killing" it". What does that have to do with Downloading anything? Or "Pirillo calls Windows apps "uninspired"". Again, that is news, not software.

I wish the site would just stick to downloadable software rather than just news. I get plenty of news from Engadget.
