Yahoo! Er… I mean Yippee! You get the idea.

NewsGator, my RSS aggregator of choice, and Bradbury Software, creators of the popular FeedDemon RSS aggregator and TopStyle, a CSS editor, will announce the news today. FeedDemon will be integrated into all paid NewsGator subscriptions. Nick Bradbury, creator of both FeedDemon and TopStyle will (virtually) join Greg Reinacker's team at NewsGator as part of the deal.

This acquisition fills in the one gap in NewsGator's presence - a desktop application. NewsGator currently integrates into Outlook and offers a web-based service for aggregating and reading RSS.

This is really great news for both NewsGator and FeedDemon users. The combination of talent and product excellence is a shrewd move in a market rapidly being infiltrated by big, well-capitalized players like the aforementioned Yahoo! Oh yeah… and Microsoft… them too.
