I received an update notice from Scott at You Software today about the latest release of YouSubscribe, their RSS
add-in for Outlook. I'm genuinely excited to try this latest version as it adds Firefox support and an unexpected
bonus- the ability to manage podcast subscriptions too. The responsiveness of the You Software team to community
feedback has been amazing. I'll post a more thorough review after I've used it for a few days but here's additional
information from their announcement including a download link:
We've just posted an update of You Subscribe: RSS - Version 0.95. If you haven't
tried You Subscribe: RSS, the news aggregator from You Software that brings up to minute news and content from
Websites, blogs and Podcasts into Microsoft Outlook, this is the version to try.
New - Firefox Toolbar
Add RSS newsfeeds and subscriptions from Websites and blogs using a Firefox toolbar. You Subscribe: RSS
is the only Outlook based RSS aggregator that lets you easily add and manage newsfeeds and subscriptions from a toolbar
in Firefox. The new Firefox toolbar detects newsfeeds and lets you add them to your You Subscribe: RSS subscriptions
with a click. Now with You Subscribe: RSS 0.95 you can use your browser of choice: Firefox or Internet Explorer. Every
action performed using the browser toolbar is immediately synchronized in Outlook.
New – Automatically load Podcasts
The easiest way to get Podcast audio content into iTunes and Windows Media Player Playlists via Outlook.
Version 0.95 makes it easy to listen to your favorite audio content on your computer, iPod or other
portable player when it's convenient for you by automatically loading Podcast audio files into easy to find iTunes or
Windows Media Player playlists. The new version includes a list of popular Podcasts making it easy to get
started.
