Primarily a security update, Firefox 1.0.1 is now available. Here are the release notes. Download it here.
Important note: Do not install this version over an existing 1.0 (or earlier)
install. You will experience problems if you do. Bad on Firefox for hiding this in the Release Notes
instead of a prominent notice on the download page. Or better yet, how about a smart installer that sniffs for a
previous release?
And did you know you can now get a
Firefox
Guide and CD set? Nice graphics. I bet these are not as back-ordered as the t-shirts.
eWeek has typically thorough coverage about what this release fixes (the IDN bug and two potential but serious spoofs).

1. Thanks for the news, Marc.
One thing to note when installing 1.0.1 is that you should not install it on top of an existing 1.0 setup.
That's not mentioned at all on the main Firefox download page - you have to go to the Release Notes/Known Issues to see the warning (first bullet point):
http://www.mozilla.org/products/firefox/releases/#issues
That means either installing 1.0.1 and keeping 1.0 separate, or first uninstalling 1.0.
