1. Thanks for the news, Marc.

One thing to note when installing 1.0.1 is that you should not install it on top of an existing 1.0 setup.

That's not mentioned at all on the main Firefox download page - you have to go to the Release Notes/Known Issues to see the warning (first bullet point):

That means either installing 1.0.1 and keeping 1.0 separate, or first uninstalling 1.0.

2. Marc, you might want to soften the tone on the warning; it looks like it's very simple to work around the crash problem by simply deleting the autocomlete cache file in your installation of Firefox as per the release notes. It looks like doing that does in fact make it safe to install over your previous version. And that's a relief to me, since I use 15 or 20 exensions.

3. Hmm. I take that back; even after following the advice in the release notes, I was getting crashes every time I tried to type in an address. I've reverted to a previous version, but this is not good.

5. Consider yourself lucky. There are horror stories popping up all over about this release.

6. The only thing I hate about Firefox is upgrading it. All my extensions break and I have to reconfigure everything.
