As we've recently added a survey tool to the Weblogs, Inc. bag of tricks, I thought it would be interesting to see
which desktop search tool you have selected. Feel free to post a comment as well as casting your vote. You may only
vote once to avoid the need for recounts. ;^)
Postscript: Well, it appears from the e-mail (and comments) related to this survey that I probably
should have listed Lookout as a discrete choice. I just got a very interesting note from Mike Belshe, the developer of
Lookout, that during the very active beta development of that tool, file system search outside of e-mail did not even
make the top three list of requested features.
Go figure. According to Mike's research, 85% of desktop searches are for something in e-mail.

21. Hi Michael: I wrestled with whether to include Lookout on the list but ultimately decided not to as it is primarily an Outlook tool and is not being actively developed now that Microsoft owns it.
Thanks for mentioning it though - it has always been my favorite Outlook-focused search tool.
