I've been an Audible.com subscriber for years. It's a great way to multi-task - I listen to the news every morning while scanning my RSS feeds, walking my dog, and working out. I also get to listen to some great books I might not otherwise find time for.
One of the things I have come to appreciate about Audible is that they have made audio of important events available
for free - whether you are a subscriber or not. In the past, they have provided NPR's coverage of the 9-11 attacks and
aftermath and all of the public testimony given before the 9-11 Commission.
Today, they are making the first
Presidential
Debate available and have promised to release the remaining debates soon after they are broadcast. If you missed
the first debate, or want to listen to what was actually said again (as opposed to the massive spinning being done by
both sides), here's your chance.
